North Adams FIRST Fridays is a grass-roots initiative intended to get folks downtown on the first Friday of the month by asking the galleries and businesses of North Adams to stay open late!

Next FIRST Friday is December 2 from 5-8 pm
While businesses will sport their holiday displays and lights, event attendees are encouraged to wear lights and bright outfits as well!
Schedule of Festivities:
5pm reading of The Night Before Christmas by Mayor at The Bear & Bee Bookstore (28 Holden St)
5pm Drury High School Band plays festive tunes at Terra Nova Church (85 Main Street) followed by a march around downtown!
5pm-7pm Horse & Carriage rides by McKay Farms.
5pm-7pm Make s’mores at the fire pit at the First Congregational Church
7pm-8pm Enjoy the melodic sounds of the Lee Bell Choir, a 12-member bell ringer group, at Terra Nova Church (85 Main St)!

We’re moving the market INDOORS and keeping it going throughout the winter and spring months! The North Adams Indoor Farmers Market will take place *every 1st Saturday of the month through May, from 9am – 1pm. We accept EBT/Debit/CC.

Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative’s Al Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry
Suggested nonperishable food items for donations include:
tune; peanut butter; brown rice; whole wheat pasta; pasta sauce; low sodium canned vegetables (e.g. potatoes, green beans, carrots); low sodium soups; whole grain cereals (low sugar) and/or oatmeal; canned fruits(no sugar added); and beans (e.g. kidney beans and garbanzo beans)
in addition to nonperishable food, personal care items (e.g. tooth paste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, etc.) and baby items (wipes and diapers) are always welcome.
Drop off locations:
FOR CITY DEPARTMENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS: City Hall, Fire/Police Stations, North Adams Public Library, and Spitzer Center
FOR SCHOOL STAFF AND STUDENTS ONLY: Brayton Elementary School, Colegrove Park Elementary School, Greylock Elementary School, Drury High school, Armory and Greenhouse Campuses
