3 Hoosac St, Adams
8 am – 4 pm
Each Columbus Day for the past 50 years, thousands of people have made the hike to the highest spot in Massachusetts. This year, for the 50th Annual Ramble on Monday, October 9th, a special memento of this year’s hike will be available at the summit.

Free shuttles take hikers from downtown Adams to and from the base of the Cheshire Harbor Trail from 8 am to 4 pm. Use of the shuttle is strongly recommended, as parking near the trail is very limited.

The Greylock Ramble takes place on the Cheshire Harbor Trail which is the gentlest path to the summit. However, the round trip is 6.6 miles, moderately strenuous and takes four to five hours. There are refreshments and souvenirs available for purchase at the top, but the hike itself and the spectacular views are free!
