Called “essential, like water or air,” by A.O. Scott of The New York Times, his 2015 book, Between the World and Me, was a #1 New York Times bestseller and winner of the National Book Award and the NAACP Image Award. His most recent book, We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy, is a collection of his essays on the Obama presidency and its aftermath.
