Friends of North Adams Public Library Book Sale
St. Elizabeth’s Parish Center

The North Adams Public Library will hold it’s annual book sale on September 22 & 23 from 9:00AM – 4:00PM at St. Elizabeth’s Parish Center. A silent auction, a bake sale, and thousands of gently used, categorized books will be available. There will also be DVD’S, books on tape, and music CD’s for sale. Please come and join in on this great community event.

The Youth Center Inc. and BCAC coordinate a foot race and family fair. This event is open to all ages, with categories for various age groups, and awards for group winners.
The fair includes obstacle courses, games, give-a-ways, entertainment, and food. Children’s Fair booths are hosted by local community organizations.  Awards are sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union.

St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary will hold its annual ziti supper at the Parish Center. Dinner includes ziti and meatballs, garden salad, bread and butter, a beverage and choice of assorted desserts . Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved by calling the church rectory.

Join the Downtown Bike Around when we hope to gather 100 cyclists for our bike parade! Meet at the lot at 5pm for a bike safety course and bike decorating! Ride begins at 6:30pm.

The Chalet will be open for this special Fall Foliage Festival Thursday! The Bike Around parade will pass through the chalet and MASS MoCA Campus during their ride. All are encourage to participate. Chalet is FREE, bring cash for drinks.

Children from throughout the Northern Berkshire’s are encouraged to make costumes and enter the parade. This year’s theme is “Magic in the Berkshires”. Participants must arrive at the corner of Main and Eagle streets at 5pm. Parade begins at 5:30 PM and will proceed west on Main St. to City Hall. Ribbons will be given to all participants. Group and float winners will be invited to participate in the Fall Foliage Parade on Sunday, October 2. Please note that groups should be 10 or less children, as there are only 10 medals that will be awarded per category/prize. Awards are sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union.

Categories are: funniest, best duo (owner and dog), best group (dogs), best small dog, best medium-sized dog, and best large dog. Prizes will be awarded following the parade and ribbons will be given to all participants. Dog parade winners will be invited to participate in the Fall Foliage Parade. The race will begin at the top of Main Street and head down Curran Highway towards Adams  before circling down Old State Road and coming back down Curran hwy , to Main Street and onto American Legion Drive to Ashland, and  back down Main Street  finishing by Greylock Federal Credit Union.
