JJ (full disclosure, Jacob John) Slater has been around New England time and time again, playing fiery guitar in a variety of genres and singing rootsy songs that stretch into the ethereal, encompassing a distilled combination of jazz, rock and folk. Sometimes solo, sometimes joined by Dan Bisson’s percussive upright bass, and sometimes joined by a full jettisoning band, he is currently working on a record slated for release in 2020.
