2:30 – 4:15: Creating messages and art at Mt Wiliams
4:30 – 5:30: Decorating at Congregation Beth Israel
Join us for an afternoon of crafting, sign-making, and letter-writing to show our Jewish neighbors at Congregation Beth Israel that they are an integral part of our community, and we will stand with them.
In light of recent national events, we want to make sure our local Jewish community knows that they are loved and supported. When they arrive for services Saturday, it would be great if they could see that love and support in the form of “love graffiti” – signs, banners, drawings, letters, decorations, etc. adorning the entry to the synagogue, letting them know they are in our hearts.
We will meet at Mount Williams, then head over to Beth Israel (53 Lois St, North Adams, MA). Everyone is welcome to make things together at Mount Williams, or to meet us at the synagogue with things you made at home, or just to help decorate.
We will have a few art supplies available: paper for sign-making, colored paper for crafts, blank index cards to decorate or write messages on, glue guns, scissors, and sharpies. We could certainly use more items: chalk, or chalk paint, poster board, markers, paints, crayons, brushes, stickers . . . anything you can think of!
(Friday) 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
