MCLA’s creative writer-in-residence for fall 2017, acclaimed poet Brian Teare, will be reading from his work at Gallery 51 (51 Main Street) in North Adams on Thursday, November 2 at 7 PM. Teare is the author of five collections of poetry, including The Room Where I Was Born, Sight Map, Pleasure, Companion Grasses, and The Empty Form Goes All the Way to Heaven. A former Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, Teare has received poetry fellowships from institutions including the NEA, the American Antiquarian Society and The Pew Center for the Arts. He also runs the artisan micropress Albion Books and teaches as an Associate Professor of English at Temple University in Philadelphia.
