Experience art in nature at the exhibition entitled, The Beyond, along the paths at Tourists riverside retreat, 915 State Rd. in North Adams. Visitors are asked to park so at the old Blackinton Mill located behind 1470 Massachusetts Ave.

The Beyond features work by Massachusetts-based visual artists Max Bard, Jesse Tobin McCauley, and Stacey Piwinski. Artwork will be displayed along paths on the retreat’s grounds and visitors are encouraged to picnic and explore the hiking trails at no cost.

Art Close to Home’s programming is in response to Covid-19 limitations. We create opportunities for art lovers visiting the area or living nearby to engage with the outdoors and experience art safely in nature while providing a platform for area artists to share their work with their communities.  Our hope is to bring people together while remaining physically distant.”

The exhibition’s namesake, The Beyond, is a translation of the Algonquian word “hoosic,” which refers to the Hoosic Riverbank vistas and woodland trails traversing the property. Enjoy the work of talented artists against this spectacular backdrop!
