The Northampton Cycling Club returns to North Adams every year for the Greylock Hillclimb Time Trial race. The course runs for 9.1 miles to the summit of Mount Greylock which is 3,489 feet high. After light refreshments provided at the top, an afterparty is hosted at the Freight Yard Pub. The race happens annually on the Sunday after Labor Day and attracts over 250 cyclists from the Northeast and Canada.
