Eclipse Mill Artist Loft is a community of artists living and working in a former textile mill in North Adams. This 4-story building houses painters, potters, textile artists, printmakers, musicians, ceramic artists, photographers, a dancer, writers, a paper maker, a book dealer specializing in art books, and two galleries.
The Eclipse Mill Gallery, where resident artists as well as guest artists participate in solo or group exhibitions, is located on the first floor and is open to the public. There are also several art-related businesses on the first floor that are open to the public.
A once-a-year opportunity to visit artist lofts at Eclipse Mill:
Several Eclipse Mill artists participate in North Adams Open Studios, held each year on the weekend after Columbus Day in October. Dozens of local artists show their work throughout North Adams during this annual arts weekend. Approximately 20 of the Eclipse Mill lofts are open to the public during this event, and the Eclipse Mill Gallery features the annual residents exhibition at that time.
