Windsor Lake is North Adams’ hidden gem for outdoor recreation. Swimming, boating and fishing are all encouraged. Camp grounds are also in the area, as well as many hiking trails. For the winter, visitors can do cross-country skiing or snowshoeing on the trails surrounding the lake.
The lake is also home to the Historic Valley Campground.
During the summer the beautiful Windsor Lake is the home of the Concert at the Lake concert series. This concert series runs every Wednesday evening from early June through the end of August. These concerts are free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners. This series is hosted by Greylock Federal Credit Union and the City of North Adams.
